Why calibrate?

The main reasons for calibrating a measuring instrument:

  1. To guarantee that the readings carried out by a device correspond to the actual conditions
  2. To determine the accuracy of the readings carried out
  3. To determine the reliability of the device; in other words, whether and to what extent we can depend on the reliability of a result

In line with the standard ISO 9000, measuring instruments must be checked and calibrated regularly.
Our partner, Metron Measurement SA, is the largest and most modern SCS-accredited calibration laboratory in Switzerland.
